My new book is here!
"Truth is the Arrow, Mercy is the Bow"

Workshops for Democracy are back!

Hello again. The planet continues to heat up. Insecure egomaniacs remain at large in the Capitol. Our screens offer us little more than hypnotic doom. It can feel like a lot. My only dependable refuge is spending time with other storytellers. This is why I’m teaching a slew of new classes (via Zoom) this fall. You can check them out here.

In the meantime, if you want me to teach a workshop, or talk to your writer’s group, I’m all yours. Just ping me.

THE LATEST

The movie based on my first novel, “Which Brings Me to You,” (co-written with the amazing Julianna Baggott) came out a few months ago, and is now streaming on Hulu and Amazon Prime. It’s pretty boss.

I’ll be doing a bunch of in-person events this fall, including gigs at Harvard Books, the Boston Book Festival, the Moth, and a keynote (fancy fancy!) at the Sanibel Island Writers’ Conference in Fort Myers, FL. Details »

The Boston Globe had some kind words for Truth:
“This isn’t just a book about writing. It’s a book about honesty: what makes it elusive, the risks it implies, and not just how to pursue it, but also why.” And I got to run my mouth on WBUR’s Here & Now, which is always fun.

And for those of you who can’t get enough of trolling Fox News, there’s always this golden oldie.

From the Department of Miracles Do Happen:

My 2007 novel, “Which Brings Me to You,” co-written with Julianna Baggott, is now a (sexy! funny!) major motion picture starring Lucy Hale & Nat Wolff.

A new edition of book in paperback is out, too.
